Hey wonderful people!

I've recently built an enderman farm in the end, and I couldn't get more than ~18 to spawn at the same time.
I was wondering if any chunks were permanently loaded, so that the endermen in them took up the mopcap, or if the mobcap is reduced- I've checked if there are any blocks within 150 meters, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Nice suggestion, I will do a bunch of tests later to see if that could be the case.
There doesn't seem to spawn more than 18 in cat's grinder either, although that could be due to other structures with spawning spaces being nearby.

Cats grinder spawns a lot there. And I mean a lot.
Maybe other people were on and they were all at xp/mob grinders atm.

Other people being online shouldn't take up the mobcap unless they are in the end. The end normally has no spawnchunks. It is very unlikely that people have been in the end with me all the times I've been there, and I've tested it while being alone on the server. The results are still the same. I assume you mean it replaces them fast after you've killed them. Have you gotten more than 18 at once?
